Isolation pushes us to face our inner demons and reflect on how we’ve lived our lives thus far. It’s not an easy process but it’s absolutely necessary for our healing and transformation.
You may have been feeling antsy during this period of isolation but believe me when I say this, your healing depends on it! Now, is the PERFECT time for some self-care!
Some may wonder why feelings of anxiety, frustration, anger, guilt, shame, worthlessness, hopelessness or depression keep coming up to play. Well, it doesn’t help that we were taught to consistently do something mentally or physically to fill up our time. These emotions have been festering in your system for a while, waiting to process through.
TAKE A BREAK from all that mental and physical stimulation, and SLOW DOWN. Let go of the distractions and attend to your emotional needs. Make some time for reflection. Get to know yourself a little better. Find out what you’re holding onto that has been causing any negative experiences in your life thus far.
It takes a lot of courage to face your inner demons, and I’m pretty sure you don’t want them to consume you any longer. Just be aware that the only way out is to go in. Learn how to let go of control and let yourself transform.✨
